Cheap Flights To Halifax - It's Not Personal - It's Just Business
The rules or ethics are different, in competitive games. Or to steal, "most of us would agree that it's wrong to deliberately mislead or deceive another person, under the personal standard. One applies to personal life which I'll call personal moral ethics and the other is the standard for sports or competitive games which I will refer to as competitive gaming ethics. In life there seem to be two acceptable standards of ethics.
72-73) The point to remember is that these are games whether professional or not they are still games. 2004) p, uT: Gibbs Smith, (Salt Lake City, the Bottom Line on Integrity, " (Quinn McKay. In football stealing the ball is one of the objects of defense, stealing bases is a good strategy for base runners; in baseball. And misdirection plays, screens, a basketball player seeks to mislead and deceive his opponent with head fakes, 2004) p.71- 72) For example, uT: Gibbs Smith, (Salt Lake City, the Bottom Line on Integrity, " (Quinn McKay. But is an essential skill for wining [the game], deliberately misleading and deceiving others is not only allowed, in gaming ethics.
" Signifying that what they have done is not wrong because competitive games ethical should be apply to business and not personal moral ethics. It's just business. In business you commonly hear the phrase "It's not personal. Much of the lack of integrity in business stems from the application of competitive gaming ethics to business situations. Many also believe that it is just as ethical to deceive another for personal gain while playing poker as it is to not keep ones word in a business transaction if it leads to personal advantage or gain. Many have the belief that business is a game and profits and personal gain are the score.
Consider the following 5 choices. You can achieve financial success in business by applying competitive gaming ethics but by so doing you will most likely violate personal morals. God did not create 10 commandment for personal life and 10 different commandments for business life. The same morals that guide personal life should guide every aspect of life including business. Competitive gaming ethics should not be applied to business.
Honesty Deception vs.
Honesty is a key to long term true success. In the end lost everything, but, they fraudulently were able to gain short term profits, through their competitive gaming ethics. Anderson and others, imClone, tyco, qwest, xerox, worldCom, we have seen the devastating effects of dishonest business from companies such as Enron, in the past several years.
Integrity First Profit First vs.
Business would not be directed or founded on integrity, 2005) With this view, august 30, it's Business, issue 14:It's Not Personal, " Inside Trump Tower Newsletter, "The Bottom Line-Your Guideline, " (Donald Trump. It's a waste of everyone's time. Come in with lofty ideas and philanthropic purposes that have absolutely no place in a business meeting. . . I'm often surprised by people [who]. It's about the bottom line. "Business is about making money, he wrote. Donald Trump is an example of running a business with competitive gaming ethics.
Issue 1) january 2000: Volume 24, " AFA Journal, "Omni Hotels Drop In-Room Porn, '" (American Family Association, We believe that this is the right thing to do. 'Not all business decisions should be fiscally driven. ' he said, 'Money is not the issue in this matter. According to Omni VP of Marketing Peter Strebel, that's not the point, however. Omni's decision not to offer 'adult' movie will cost the chain $4 million a year. Hotel guest's nation wide spent over $175 million watching in room 'adult' movies, in 1996. In contrast consider the Omni Hotel's decision to not sell pornography.
Is It Right? Vs. Is It Legal?
" It is important to remember that laws are to protect personal rights not to measure ethics against. "There is a big difference between what is legal and what is right, " I responded. "I have review the information and legally my client does not have to pay you, i received a call from the law firm who represented the company saying, when ending relations with a business who failed to pay as agreed. Many companies use the defense that "It is legal" to justify unethical business practices.
Mutually Beneficial/Fair Best for Me/Shrewd vs.
Taking advantage of others is artificial success. They also forfeit their own integrity, however. May turn great profits, at the expense of others, there are many companies who. Many practices which are reported as shrewd are really unethical and dishonest. This would be ethical and considered good business. The more you can squeeze out of employees and customers the better. Whatever you can get is okay, according to competitive gaming ethics.
Serve Win vs.
A business honestly serving others will always have business and all involved will win. " This attitude is readily seen in the NBA as players more frequently are fined and suspended for bad behavior. Integrity or character, we don't reward people who have high values. A former general manager of an NBA franchise said "All we reward is winning. The only goal is to win, under competitive gaming ethics.
Being personal is good business. True success is using personal moral ethics in business. Blow the whistle and throw the penalty flag because people and family are most likely going to be injured, the next time competitive gaming ethics are brought into the board room.
Bahrain Air Flights - Boat Deckhand Jobs - Which One is Right For You?
Any kind of boat job would suit them fine - they think. Is that they love the sea and live to spend a life afloat, in their mind, all that matters. " They don't have a particular type of boat in mind. I frequently run into people who "just want to work on a boat.
" Yet both are "boat jobs. Serving drinks to celebrities and millionaires aboard a luxury yacht is a world apart from hauling nets of crabs onto a fishing boat in Alaska, take it from me. I've worked as a deckhand on many types of vessels all around the world. But hold on!
" But it's something to think about if you're one of those who is sure that they "just want to work on a boat. This is an extreme example of the divergence in boat jobs that you may encounter when looking for employment at sea, admittedly.
But there are certainly some folks who would prefer battling the elements aboard a fishing boat to having to dress in a uniform and tiptoe around all the social niceties involved in catering to a yacht owner and the owner's VIP guests. Working on a luxury yacht - especially one of the superyachts - would seem far preferable to the life of an Alaskan fisherman, for most people.
These are also boat jobs that you might want to consider. And on a boat ferrying divers to the coral reef that lies off the coast of Belize, i've also worked on a tour guide boat in the Bahamas. But it's not something I wanted to do forever, i've worked on a fishing boat and it's an experience I wouldn't trade for anything.
Your ideal place might be on a tour boat pointing out the landmarks of a busy harbor to gawking tourists, ). If you have a gift for gab and really enjoy dealing with crowds of people (some folks do! You would probably find your niche on a diving boat, if you are SCUBA certified, for example. The right one for you depends on your personal interests as well as your skills and experience. The right boat job is not the same for everyone.
You can go on to experience a different one next year, if you find it's not the right job for you after all. Then do whatever you can to obtain one for at least one summer, the best advice: First decide which boat deckhand jobs intrigue you the most.
Then welcome to my world, first mate or captain - aboard a superyacht, eventually, chef - or even, steward or stewardess, you decide that the best crew position possible is that of being a deckhand, like me, and if.

Trip To Paris - Ukulele Chords - Learn To Play Amazing Grace With Tablature
We will use tabs so you will not need to know sheet music notation. You will learn to sing Amazing Grace with your own ukulele accompaniment in the key of C-major.
It's okay as long as you are not playing together with another instrument. Some people don't care how they tune their ukulele as long as the strings are tuned together. First you will have to take a look at the way you have tuned your ukulele.
There it is, right! C D E F G A. If you can find middle C on a piano you can play the notes up to A. In order to play the chords in C-major we presupposes that the you first string is tuned to an A, but.
With the tab notation we will use it will look like this: We will first take a look at the C-major chord.
C-major: 0/4 0/3 0/2 3/1
The digit after the slash shows you which string to play. The digit before the slash indicates the fret to press down. Now you will learn to interpret this notation.
Here is F-major: To play the chords to the first line of lyrics you will have to learn one more chord. Press down the third fret on string one, 3/1 means.
F-major: 2/4 0/3 1/2 0/1
With these two chords we can play the first line of lyrics:
How (F)sweet the (C)sound a-(C)mazing Grace,
Another way to notate the chord progression to play will look like this: The chords to play are written before the syllable in the text where you are to strum it.
C / / C / / F / / C / /
Strum once on every chord name and once more on the same chord for every following slash.
Here is G7: For the next line we need a third chord.
G7: 0/4 2/3 1/2 2/1
Time for the next line:
That (C)saved a wretch like (G7)me
Or written like a chord progression:
C / / C / / G7 / / G7 / /
We will take the two last lines together as you now know how to read the chords:
But (F)now am (C)found i (C)once was lost,
But (G7)now I (C)see was (C)blind,
And in ordinary chord notation:
C / / C / / F / / C / /
C / / G7 / / C / / C / /
I suggest that you work on the art of changing from one chord to another by choosing for exampel C and F. To make music of the song with ukulele accompaniment it is important to be able to change between chords smoothly.
To get to G7 you can slide your ring finger to fret two on the first string. To change from C to G7 I suppose that you play the C chord with your left hand ring finger. Strum once on every chord and change to the next one until your fingers obey your command.
After that you only have to place your left hand middle finger on the third string and your index on your second string.
